California is facing a lawsuit less than two weeks after Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom signed legislation that empowered the state medical board to revoke doctors’ licenses if they spread “misinformation or disinformation related to COVID-19” and “the effectiveness of COVID-19 vaccines.” The Liberty Justice Center is filing the lawsuit against the California Medical Board and the California Attorney General on behalf of two practicing doctors.
