Special pre-caucus program Tuesday: Everything you always wanted to know about the Iowa caucuses but were afraid to ask

Dem. Chair Tom Henderson
This week will be our last program before the Iowa caucuses and so we are devoting the entire program to the caucuses. Did you know that each party caucuses differently? The Democrats count delegates while the Republicans count individual votes.

How will that make a difference in how the results are reported an analyzed?
Deacon Mike Manno (a poli-sci guy) and Gina Noll (a poli-sci gal) will be joined by the chairman of the Polk County Democratic Party, Thomas Henderson. Deacon Mike, Gina and Tom will discuss the similarities and differences in the way each party conducts its caucus and the effect it will have on the declared – and maybe undeclared – presidential candidates, and how you can best maximize your influence.
We'll also discuss the three-fold purpose of the caucus ... bet you might have only thought of one.
You can also get further information on caucus procedures from the websites of the Iowa Republican Party; the Iowa Democratic Party; and from our friends at the Family Leader. You might also want to check our Facebook page for the latest surrounding Candidate Donald Trump’s campaign spokesperson’s bigoted tweets.
So join us for this special pre-caucus primer this Tuesday at 9 a.m. on Iowa Catholic Radio, 1150 AM; 88.5 & 94.5 FM and streaming on IowaCatholicRadio.com. for all things caucus! The Dowling Catholic Basketball game Tuesday night will pre-empt our regularly scheduled re-broadcast at 9 p.m.
